Robert Redford

Biografie:

Fiul lui Charles Robert, contabil la Standard Oil si al Marthei, care a murit in 1955, Robert Redford jr. a fost un copil dificil, neastamparat. Fura capacele rotilor de la automobile in vremea liceului si din cauza alcoolului si-a pierdut bursa la University of Colorado.

Dupa ce a studiat la Pratt Institute of Art si a dus o viata de artist prin Europa, Robert Redford s-a intors in State, inscriindu-se in New York la American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Lola van Wagenen, nascuta in 1940, a renuntat la scoala pentru a se marita cu Robert Redford in 1958. Au divortat in 1985, dupa nasterea a patru copii, dintre care unul a murit la nastere.

Experienta in televiziune si cea de pe scena l-au ajutat pe Robert Redford sa aiba un debut de succes: Butch Cassidy and the Sundace Kid (1969), cand actorul avea 32 de ani.
