Biografie: Pentru mult timp a fost un idol al adolescentilor, cunoscut probabil pentru filmul Tiger Beat, Matt Dillon a putut sa isi transmita succesul de la vedeta a filmelor pentru adolescenti la actor adult. Nascut in New Rochelle, New York, pe 18 februarie 1964, Dillon este produsul unui mileniu pop. Nepotul artistului de comedie Alex Raymond, creator al Flash Gordon, Jungle Jim si Rip Kirby, a fost numit ca protagonist al wersternu-lui tv, Gunsmoke. Dupa ce a facut o impresie excelenta in fata directorului de casting Vic Ramos i s-a propus sa dea o auditie, Dillon castigand rolul si a debutat in film cu filmul lui Jonathan Kaplan din 1979 in drama pentru adolescenti Over the Edge. Munca sa din film, a deschis portile catre roluri similare si timp de cativa ani Dillon a jucat in filme precum: My Bodyguard (1980), Little Darlings (1980), Tex (1982), Rumble Fish (1983) si The Outsiders (1983). Statutul de actor adult stabilit ferm, Dillon avea sa joace in filme de calitate, realizand unele dintre cele mai bune roluri in Singles (1992); To Die For (1995); filmul lui Kevin Spacey, Albino Alligator (1995) si Beautiful Girls (1996). There's Something About Mary, s-a dovedit a fi cel mai scandalos mare succes al anului si i-a permis lui Dillon sa-si arate capacitatea de a juca si comedie in rolul sau de detectiv particular. In anul urmator, a reusit din nou sa-si dovedeasca talentul cand a jucat in Wild Things.
