Biografie:
Warren Beatty a incantat inca de la debutul sau din filmul Splendor in the Grass (1961). In 1965 a jucat in drama politista Mickey One, regizat de Arthur Penn. Filmul s-a bucurat de succes din partea criticilor.
Beattty a facut iar echipa cu Penn, de data aceasta fiind atat producator cat si actor in filmul de mare succes Bonnie and Clyde (1967).
Alegandu-si rolurile cu mare grija, a stat mai mult in afara ecranului intre anii 1970-1975, aparand doar in cateva filme, cum ar fi McCabe and Mrs. Miller (1971) si The Parallax View (1974).
In 1981 a scris scenariul, a regizat, a produs si a jucat in Reds, un film ce descrie revolutia din Rusia vazuta prin ochii comunistului american John Reed. Filmul a castigat premiul Oscar pentru cel mai bun film, iar Beatty a castigat Oscarul pentru cel mai bun regizor.
In anul 2001 a realizat Town & Country, un film cu buget de peste 90 milioane $. Filmul a fost un esec, incasand doar 6,7 milioane $, criticii declarandu-l cel mai mare esec din istoria cinematografiei.
Viata sa particulara a tinut mereu prima pagina a ziarelor, avand legaturi amoroase cu Leslie Caron, Julie Cristie, Diane Keaton si Madonna. In 1992 s-a casatorit cu partenera din filmul Bugsy, Anette Bening, cu care a mai jucat ulterior in Love Affair (1994), remake-ul unui film din 1957, An Affair to Remember.
